Metamorphoses from Monet to Fontevraud

The Fontevraud Museum of Modern Art presents its first summer exhibition until September 18, 2022, in partnership with the Marmottan-Monet Museum. Entitled "Metamorphoses in the art of Claude Monet", this exhibition immerses the visitor in the approach to subjects by the master of Impressionism: landscapes, plants, liquids, whose light constantly changes according to the hours and seasons. sublime shapes and colors.

Organized in partnership with the Marmottan Monet museum and thanks to the support of the Pays de la Loire Region, the exhibition presents more than thirty masterpieces. Among these are Les Tuileries (1875), Le Pont de l'Europe, Saint-Lazare station (1877) and Bras de Seine near Giverny, rising sun (1897) as well as an exceptional collection of Water Lilies and other flowers. basin painted between 1903 and 1926.
